Information for Airline Operators
This page contains operational information for airlines and aircraft operators flying into Fiji from overseas. The content contained on the left-hand menu includes information on aircraft disinfection and fees and charges associated with Airports Program services.
All aircraft arriving in Fiji must proceed to an approved port of entry of first arrival. If the operator/owner wishes to take an aircraft to a place other than those approved for international arrivals, then the operator/owner must seek approval from Biosecurity Authority of Fiji for clearance of aircraft prior to landing at undeclared port of entry.
For non commercial, unscheduled and diverted flights the captain or operator must notify Biosecurity Authority of Fiji or Biosecurity officer 60 minutes before the estimated time of arrival.
All aircraft, passengers and crew and their baggage are to be cleared as per standard operational procedure of Biosecurity Authority of Fiji.
Refuse
All aircraft refuse are to be removed and taken to the transitional storage facility by contracted operators or owner and then to the incinerator under biosecurity supervision.
Cargo
All biosecurity regulated items in transit require a transit permit which can be obtained from Biosecurity Authority of Fiji. These cargoes are to remain airside, either on the aircraft, or in an approved transitional facility under biosecurity supervision.
Other imported cargoes are to be taken to the transitional facility. The clearance of these cargoes are to be arranged by customs brokers, freight forwarders or importers themselves with Biosecurity Authority of Fiji.
